THE PLACE

Located northeast of the mainland of Trinidad, Tobago is an autonomous island within the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Blessed with numerous secluded beaches and rich rainforests, the island hosts the most enviable and diverse natural landscapes in the world.

Plymouth Peninsula is located on a 4.5 acre parcel of land in the village of Plymouth, north-west Tobago. Elevated over 10 metres above sea level, the peninsula offers commanding views over the surrounding Back Bay beaches and the Caribbean sea.

THE HISTORY

Following the discovery of ancient Amerindian pottery dating between 200 -1400AD, the peninsula has a rare and distinct conservation status on the island of Tobago. Our careful integration of this ancient heritage forms an important historical layer to this stunning location.

THE VISION

Embodying a contemporary Caribbean lifestyle spirit, the vision of Plymouth Peninsula integrates serene and breathtaking natural wonders with the cultural vibrancy of the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago. THE DESIGN

The peninsula takes inspiration from the many rocky coastal outcrops found on the island - each arranged as a sculptural composition of building forms and spaces, integrating a new community into an oasis of nature. The two prominent buildings form oblique bold lines as if hewn by coastal elements, mirroring the weathered cliff faces that line the peninsula's contoured edges, providing a sanctuary for residents and amenities.

A cluster of smaller buildings populate the southern fringes, reflecting the cascade of informal structures found amongst many of the islands wonderous beaches and an iconic introduction to the island's warm hospitality. A rich series of curated gardens and boardwalks offer a tranquil backdrop to the development, discreetly connecting residents and visitors to the surrounding tropical landscapes and beyond.

THE OCEANSIDE BUILDINGS

The architecture of Plymouth Peninsula follows a bold design strategy with a vision to create a destination like no other in the Caribbean. This vision is spearheaded by a considered approach to ensure each building compliments the rich surrounding landscapes and references the local, cultural and historical context in which it sits.

OCEANSIDE RESIDENCES

Oceanside apartments combine contemporary interiors with Caribbean lifestyle luxury. Each apartment focuses on an outdoor living experience through full height floor to ceiling glazed doors leading to a generous terrace framing panoramic views.

Inspired by traditional local architecture, the open-plan interior layout and natural material selection engage a new concept of modern Caribbean living.

The layout of our apartments are designed meticulously, paying particular attention to internal and external flow of spaces - regardless of size. The arrangement of living/dining/sleeping spaces ensure residents are able to enjoy breathtaking views throughout each apartment in combination with exquisite interior design.
